Got in touch with Gail (Red) Cox. She is going to send me some pictures of the cars and some from her days a Carlile, AR track.

Dwight has been in the Pine Bluff hospital the last 8 days with pneumonia. Hopefully will get out soon.

I posted a picture of Dwight's Impala while in the pits one day at Carlisle Drag-O-Way on Face Book in a group call "Drags Strips that no longer exist". It was shot in 74 before Indy that year. This was before bracket racing and Carlisle could field Stock, Super Stock and Modified/Comp eliminators. When I get home I'll try to post the photo on here.

Does anyone know who has Dwight's car now? I thought Richard Feldman's car came from Div 4?

Swamprabbit, I so look forward to seeing those photos. I've been Googleing for photos of Carlisle and there is very little out there about that track. It truly is a "ghost track". |

Raced at Carlysle many times. Dwight was most always there. Lots of fun back then.

You are correct on all. To my surprise, in 1994 is was there, because I was in school at UAMS. I think I surprised a few people in the store being able to pick it out after all those years. I just kept walking toward a window until Robbie asked me what I saw. I saw the fronts, backs, and tattered insides of those cars so much, I could spot them anywhere!! LOL!!!
