Words are just not enough to express our sadness in loosing one of our Super Stock Division 3 family members. Dave will always be a part of our many happy racing memories. He shared his quiet laugh and his smiles all the way from Nevada ,Florida ,Indiana and back to Ohio. God bless you Dave you will be missed but never forgotten. Dede and Lindsay May God be with you at this very sad time. Love Mark and Elaine

I remember the first time I met Dave was at the points race in Orlando many years ago He talked my ear off! My kind of guy. We both like to talk! God Speed Dave. I look forward to talking with you again. Jim

I enjoyed talking with Dave I was only a customer of his for a short time but he always took the time to talk to me like I had been his customer for years he will truly be missed. Prayers sent to his family. R.I.P. Dave

I first met Dave a few years ago when he fixed a leaky set of heads for me. After that when i would make it to a race he was at i was always sure to stop and say hi to him. RIP Dave, you will be missed.

Dave was one of those rare people that, when you first met him, he made you feel like you had always been friends. I truly believe that he is in "a better place" but this place will never be as good as it was when he was with us. Our hearts go out to DeDe and Lindsay and his racing family the "Good Time Gang". RIP Dave - you will certainly be missed.

Very sorry DeDe and Lindsey .The entire drag racing world loved Dave Layer and his family. His memories will live on for all of us.God bless Dave Layer!So glad he won the Indy divisional this year.We miss him. Bobby and Nancy Rashid
