Hi Darcy I haven't built a SS Max but I've done a lot of flow work with the Max and the standard heads with various mani's, stock, aftermarket, sheet metal etc. I'll send you a PM, not sure if it will help but I'll share what I know, Paul.

Paul,

I've been looking at the Mod Man manifold by Indy, it may take some welding to get the right off set but it will clear the hood, of course, the other option is a hand made manifold by Wilson or some one else. If I remember correctly the stock cross ram runs out of flow around 6000rpm.

Hi Jim, I think the stock ones were tuned for maximum ram effect in the 5,600 to 6,000 range but they hold on pretty well to near 7,000 before they start dropping hard.
