Met him while I was working at State Capitol Dragway. He bracket raced for years (could have been the same car) prior to moving north. One of the really nice racers out there. RIP Johnny.

I am shocked and saddened to hear this. I talked to him at the Dutch. I had no idea he was sick. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Johnny was a great racer and more importantly a loving, caring individual.
We had talked in recent months and it is sad for he loved life and his family which was important to him. God speed my friend, until we meet again......

So sorry to hear this News , spoke to him @ the Dutch & he was smiling ..
He was a Tough Racer & Loved his Olds and the first one there to help .. Johnny, will be missed by everyone ... My prayers & thoughts go out to his Family & friends ... RIP
