Looking for Photos

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this request, but here goes...

I'm looking for photos of my car from "back in the day," when it was campaigned by Jack McCormack, Harry Dolittle, and Co. I believe it was run in SS/MA with a 318. The '86 NHRA Record Book shows a '78 Volare holding the SS/MA record at an 11.55 campaigned by those same gentlemen. Later, the car was owned by Gregg Luneack of Tri-City Competition and, at least occasionally, driven by one of the Emmons Bros. We bought the car in 1993 and have had it ever since.

We had the Hemi cars around for years that sucked up all our time/attention and the poor little Volare sat in the same shop. Admittedly, I don't know much about the car's history. Hoping I might get lucky.

Here is the only photo I took of it on my computer, Don mcElroy drove the car as far as I knew.

I'll bet you can find more pics in the old Direct Connection catalogs, if you have access to any.

....and the same combo in Stock is even faster than that today!

I'll take a look in my collection Jared,pretty sure I have a couple of it. I always wondered where their wagon ended up?? Would like to see more pics of it.

Hi Tom - this is Harry.

I have lots of photos of the Volarie in both Stock and Super Stock trim.
For now, they are back in Wickenburg. I'm currently in Scottsdale with
Rosie as she awaits hip replacement surgery in 10 days. If you can get
ahold of Jared and let him know, I'd be glad to scan some of the photos, but
can't do it right now. I don't have access to Class Racer. I view, but do
not post.

The car has a long interesting history and started life as a half-burned out
hulk I got from Jack McCormack in about 1979. This was the first V8 car I
ever drove and a far-cry from my 6 cylinder Comet and Duster. If Jared
