I could not care less who sponsors John Force. However as a taxpayer I would rather General motors pay back the 9.6 Billion that WE lost on the Obama stock bailout fiasco. After we are reimbursed then GM can sponsor Anything they prefer.

The sponsorship is one way of advertising. GM would not be doing motorsports sponsorships if it did not pay off for them. I am sure Ford is taking the money that Force was getting and moving it to a different racing or sports sponsosrhip/ advertising venue. I am not sure if the bail out was a loan or just a hand out to keep GM afloat and keep all of their employees working. The tax payers will probably never see that money back directly.

I stopped caring about sponsors when the Army gave The Sarge and Daddy Don all that money. I can't believe anyone ever joined the Army because of that Carnival show. Giving that kid the Sarge name is a slap to all of us who had to work hard to try to make grade. Just My Opinion.
