Now how would these folks handle it if they went to heads up runs in their classes...the answer is simple you'd have 4-6 cars in the low 6 second zone show up for the race...end of TS and TD. Though I can apreciate the skills and effort involved in fielding one of these cars, they aren't even in the same zip code as a Stocker, S/S or most comp cars.
It might not be related to the discussion, but PDRA ran 'Quick 4' races for TD & TS last year. Those cars ran a separate race at the end of qualifying, and the next day they went back to running off dial-ins. Sort of like the way class eliminations work.

In all forms of "class-less (ie. not Comp/SS/Stk)" handicap racing, if two cars with the same dial-in meet, they don't throw away the breakout and allow them to run all-out. They still have to adhere to the handicap.

Only in SS & Stock do you lose the opportunity to use a handicap if you have the bad fortune to meet a car in the same class. (Or good fortune if you have a quicker car) That makes a different form of racing, but it's a matter of personal opinion if its 'better'
