Lets put things in perspective. In the overall scheme of things, Stockers and Super Stockers are the ones that can more easily be lumped in with the "just bracket racers' of the sport. On the other hand, a large portion of TD & TS cars are both more powerful and faster than Pro Stocks and 80% of Comp Cars. So what if they run off dial-ins? I don't hear anyone calling for taking tow vehicles away from A/EAs or G/EDs.

In all forms of "class-less (ie. not Comp/SS/Stk)" handicap racing, if two cars with the same dial-in meet, they don't throw away the breakout and allow them to run all-out. They still have to adhere to the handicap. Only in SS & Stock do you lose the opportunity to use a handicap if you have the bad fortune to meet a car in the same class. (Or good fortune if you have a quicker car) That makes a different form of racing, but it's a matter of personal opinion if its 'better' |

Does this mean the rest of the sportsmen classes move further down the food chain?

Tim, I really wonder just what NHRA is up to with a long term plan with Stock and Super Stock. I think we all knew TD and TS were coming. They evolved from the Super 9.90 and 8.90 classes. Easy to administer and a good show. Cheaper than a good AH car and will evolve to be cheaper than a new FS shoot out car. And I think you are right on the food chain.

Jeff is right. We are too much trouble. Not much to tech with those things. Don't know about the show. Look up in the stands. Nobody watching.
