That's fine Paul if Im wrong on that so be it i will admit it . So my question is if there is no advantage why did a aluminium head get approval and not a different iron head like Todd Hoven got approval for on the Ram Air 1 ?? . If the approval of a aluminum replacement head for that would have gone through i could only imagine the uproar that would cause.

Again the factoring causes hard feelings....but that's the way it is in Class racing...Everyone works hard but the changes "meant" to level the field hurts everyone in the long run. Lb/ cubic inch takes the factoring out of the picture. Doing it different in the future may be the way to "evolve" like other sanctions.

Mr. Aceves

Again has your car been not been torn down. I very strongly
doubt that NHRA would entertain a Private Protest....
We have been down that road years ago at the Winters.
as a lot of Div. 7 Old timers probably remember it! I never call
anyone BOGUS like you did and never will.....I just asked when you were torn down!
Most of the guys that run the 71 340 are Personal Friends and we share a
lot of information. I have seen several of their cars apart and none are Bogus either!

We will wait till NHRA tears you down and they will get around to it!

Jerry Hatch has the 71 Duster that you are so upset about = not us.........
Why do not call him out (at least they have a budget a little closer
to your car). We would be be delighted to put $500. of our
money = on that he kicks you B^tt!

We have always been friendly and enjoyed talking to you.
We do not appreciate our cars being attacked and ourselves
by someone who knows very little about either one!! We did not
start this thread or call anyone LAZY OR BOGUS.

My son last stocker (National Record Holder / All Star Div 7 Winner) was
torn down Three Races in a row a couple years ago......possibly due in part to complaints on the site. It was looked at by toughest techs on both coasts...................................Always clearly and completely legal!

I did not call anyone illegal.....I just asked about last time you were in teardown.

It was someone else's post on this thread to call us lazy when I reread the post...........
I had the right post but the wrong guy...... and on that and I am sorry and stand corrected.

It doesn't hurt my PRIDE in the slightest when I get beat heads up by a better combination with
triple the money thrown at it --------
By someone waving around a Big Fat Wallet like you are and puffing up your chest about how PROUD of it you are of it.

Correct me if I am wrong, I recall you have raced us a few times when we were in different class and running on Dial Ins..........
It seem like you lost those particular races every time if memory serves
I might be wrong . Please correct me if I am wrong about as
since my last stroke my memory doesn't seem to be what it used to be.

In fact: According to my records you have NEVER raced either of us Heads-UP in
the same class EVER despite your crowing about beating us before and going to beat us again
and strip up of our "Pride".......My Daddy taught me: "Don't count your chickens before they are Hatched!"

Every time we race on a Dial In and win (and even when we lose and race well),
THAT is what we and many other stock racers that I know take PRIDE IN!
Money can not buy those wins!

How about a sealed GM class? a spec motor class? I know many will complain about "change" but everytime a new set of factors come out THAT IS CHANGE an inch at a time.... allows new dime rockets, encourages new bogus motors.
With all the replacement heads now available what would be the "real" difference of allowing a SPEC motor parallel to one motor now available but make it legal everywhere and in ALL cars.(GT does this now with factored motors) Or just 2 or three Mod classes to test it.

Dick - I applaud your constant hammering on the crate motor/spec motor thing to try to encourage an environment for more heads up racing. However, I am hesitant then to applaud the idea that this will reduce the cost of building a Stock/SS type car. Expense of technology is harder to arrest in drag racing than in any kind of circuit auto racing. Maybe an inclusion of a spec motor/crate motor with additional limitations of technology would be more successful than an additional class group (Mod) that would race outside the current set of classes. NHRA has just done that, so it would be hard to have a second instance.

Dwight, if the heads could not be touched there could be major cash saved. If very limited cam and springs, lots more. No exotic trans is considered too. We thought these two could help as well as a possible Crank inspection hole in pan.
Thanks for response...Another response to level the field is only allow limited motors from the spec books. Gradually cut down to only a few each manufacturer so the continual search and creation of new " old" combinations unseen prevents new problems.
