you can thank the New Jersey State Police for the two year rule . NHRA cannot conduct a race in NJ without this rule . Look out for Hans devices to be required in the future because the have mandated that all racers will wear them at racing tracks this year.

Cant imagine a guy in a U/SA wearing a HANS device. That would be ridiculous. Might be better off to just get out of New Jersey.

This is like the tale wagging the dog! Start a poll, let them have their own set of rules for NJ only.

Thanks Jim but how long will it take NJ state police to extend that rule to Drag racers. Also it is why NHRA requires the two year rule on belts.

I have heard that the reason there were speed limits put on jr dragsters and the jr dragster outlaw 330 classes were fromed. Because of a rule that started in NJ. From what I remember a kid who is a heir to a very large paint manufacturing company. Went up to Englishtown and layed down a blistering pass for a Jr. That most thought would never be possible. Anybody know if that ones true? Seems alot of racing rules start in NJ. Like alot of EPA stuff gets it start on the other coast.
Funny side note, the first Toterhome/stacker trailer setup I ever saw was the one they hauled his jr in. The kids family and Bunny Burket would be at MIR alot. I thought the toter stacker was for her funny car. Until somebody told me it was for hauling the kids jr dragsters. |

Police are only enforcement . The rules have to be passed through legislative authority. How about all the NJ racers banding together to make a change to the legislation?
