They aren't. I think Mopar has trouble getting a rack for the 2015. Are you missing a rack, or got one acting up? I had some trouble, and NHRA has allowed a fix in the column that fixed it. jefft@southlanddodge.com 985-804-6161

I thought they were just a power steering rack less pump....at least thats the way mine feels.....close to a 1.5 ton truck without power steering....Not its nicest feature....!

Eric, that is basically what they are. The early numbers in 09 were shipped with fluid racks, and Mopar sent you a non fluid one. Hard to steer. They are still hard to steer. There is a Z-shaped thing under the dash in the steering and that is why they wobble so much. That thing is the collapsible part of the steering. It weighs 22 lbs or so. The fix is to take that thing out, and make a shaft that goes thru the firewall and ties into the rack. I think it takes a u-joint to get there. We had some made this off season and seems easier, but we haven't drove to the starting line yet. Inside the car must remain unmolested.
We had our chassis guy change this on 2 cars, and make us some we can change with the motor out of the car. I might can get some more made if you are interested. Maybe we could get two shafts like a bulldozer has and use that as steering.

The racks were special made by TRW with a revised ratio. Mopar did have a supply up to a year ago when all stock was deleted.
I purchased 2 or 3 but sold all of them, should have bought all of the stock available.

The Z bar in the steering column was a Daimler thing.

Jeff Ross, I have a take out DragPak manual rack that I will sell very reasonable.
They went for about $1400 from the dealer, I will sell for a fraction of that.
Email me @gasracing@aol.com or call me @610-217-7328 for information.
X2 on Jeff Teuton's comment on the column , I made a similar modification on the one I built.
