ps. 'Play statsman'? I wouldn't call scrolling to the bottom of a page at the NHRA site and reading a number that. Anywho, since we're talking stats, here's an excerpt from my work-in-progress analysis of 1300+ NHRA Professional drivers, for the amusement of all: NHRA Pro Stock Truck 'bottom 20' 67 Richard Brown - 0.00080916 68 Jim Kennedy - 0.00070327 69 John Lukovich - 0.00063718 70 Mark Linebarrier - 0.00041429 71 Larry Pritchett - 0.00035255 72 Tom Yancer - 0.00029048 73 Arnie Martel - 0.00028687 74 Chris McGaha - 0.00017478 75 Mike Graves - 0.00014337 76 Andy Manna - 0.00006480 77 Pete Berner - 0.00005179 78 Dave McConnell - 0.00003098 79 Jonathan Alolsio - 0.00001077 79 Rickie Smith - 0.00001077 81 Kurt Hugger - 0.00000647 82 Darren Davis - 0.00000636 82 Paul Harris - 0.00000636 82 Penn Rushing - 0.00000636 82 Dominic Surace - 0.00000636 86 Rick Distefano - 0.00000387 |

I'd be curious to know the cost difference of building/campaigning a 175 mph S/C dragster vs. a 195 mph Top Dragster. If I'm silly enough to do either, I'd sure want to be in quicker/faster car.
Guess my point is that if you're going to race S/C and knowing it's not cheap, how come there aren't more racers spending the extra dough to race T/D? Heck, you turn the stop off that's on many S/C cars and most can probably qualify for T/D. |
