Henry, if Adkinson would have held the pedal down he would have received 4.25% or 17hp

Very interesting reading and thought id throw in my 2 pennies for ****s and giggles:
1st off Congrats to the Warrens' and to Adkinson as those are both bad fast!! To win the event Mr.Warren needed to beat Mr. Adkinson, which he did! The mineshaft rule was clearly written and easy to understand so why is no one bithchin and moanin about the sand baggers that do not go .850 under to get to the mineshaft conditions rule in place. Split was .798 under Congrats again to the Warren's not only on the performance but the win as well. !! |

Both are great racers and both have weather stations could have settled it in a shorter distance. Im sure they were both 100% legal next time they are just going to have to be 110% legal.

True pretty much everyone has a weather station but still talked to a few that were going 5 or so faster than they thought. It was very unusual conditions, I was going 4 fast myself that round.

Scott,
Even if the mine shaft rule applied, -1.20 runs still count. It made it more difficult to get the mine shaft rule with only one time trial as well and no class. My guess is you won't see too many LT1 automatic cars at indy.

Bobby, NHRA has a series of platforms they consider a family. I think the Nova is included with the Camaro. Personally I don't like the 'family' system they use. But then what do I know. But if you read the post on NHRA Racer, it specifically has Camaro and Nova together.
