Default Re: Monday Morning Horsepower?

I always thought the Nova and Camaro were separated for horsepower. I happened to have an old (not that old, just before the HP update today) copy of the 69 Chevy classification guide in my downloads. For stock, every single 396/375 combination (both manual and auto, iron and aluminum head) is rated the same, and was updated on the same date (for those that have dates listed). However, in super stock, that is not the case. The 396/375 manual is rated 399 in the Camaro and 405 in the Nova. Also, the 396/350 Camaro with OEM heads got 5 hp (up to 374) in the Camaro on 1/1/15, and the Nova is still at 369 (last updated 1/1/14).

I always thought these were separated because of the wheelbase difference, but I don't seem to have an answer. Does anyone have clarification on this? A quick glance at the 70 Chevy sheet shows some differences in 402/375 HP ratings in stock.
