what are the differences between this engine combo and the V-6 truck? head, intake #s, cc's etc

A lot. Its not near the engine.

Not even close. More compression,a little less cam but a hydraulic roller,fuel injected and over 300 pounds lighter from where Mr. Hill`s truck started out at Indy last year.

Truck uses a 4 barrel q-jet, 87 uses a 2 barrel fuel injection. Big different on cam shaft 357-390 vers truck 430,Tom

Since you asked, the closest year to compare would be a 1991 truck. It gets .430/.430 roller cam(vs.357/.390), less compression, different head casting and intake casting but they are both TBI, not CFI or PFI. The truck is rated at 180!

Leave it to billy to find this. Trusted and acurate for sure.
Kinda interesting that was advertised 160 changed
to 180 1/1/13. I assume based on track data from someone
running that combo? also interesting fleetside 454 advertised
255 nhra 310 pw factor 11.94 with no update date?? does
anyone no of anybody ever running this combo??

Gonna put in my 02 cents I would love to race Stock but seems like dime rockets aren't any less expensive then anything else

Less than copo's dragpacks or the new mustang's for sure !!
Finding a good combo and a decent "dime" car to start with adds
to the challenge for sure especially those in michigan?
A barely run blown mustang sold a auction in denver last week for
80k.

The under carb. V6 truck engine has a 800 cfm Q Jet on it.
