I run a "single" 16/volt battery. I have a digital dash, O2 sensors, data logger, extra fan etc... I do not run an alternator. No problems what-so-ever.
If your going to make the switch, invest in a good 16/volt charger. |

One thing I have noticed is bulbs (head and tail lights) burn out faster. We keep plenty of spares in the trailer. Other then that never given us problems. And the starter works way better with the extra juice.
