I am getting old(71 today )and I am not going to miss this one. Maybe next year I will be there as a participant. I don't think you're crazy, Gary. 3 of us flew out from Seattle last year for the inaugural blast and had a ball. Make sure you're there when the gates open each day,,, lots of hand shaking and greeting to do before they call the cars up! Take lots of photos and video,,, we still look at ours all the time. You'll enjoy this event,,, make sure you say hello to the 'ol gal at the finish line store too.
