Cool Re: What are the best casting double hump heads?

I assume you are running a '68 327/275 or a 350/295. I have several cores around, and it seems that most cores out there aren't very original, that is, they have had too many valve jobs, guide replacements, and re-surfacing done on various places that would carry the original design a bit far from the original configuration. In short, low mileage virgin cores with no rebuilding or modifications are a scarce commodity. This is by no means restricted just to Chevrolets, either. Now, how do we adequately reconcile all this to some degree of legality and consistency with legality. We all know that mass produced parts do vary, and that is the reason one person's 291 head will outflow another's 041 head, this being within the same blueprint spec.Flowing 39 sets of heads would give a head guy a pretty good idea of what is out there, and a good feeling for whatever variations you could expect.
