We're almost through the first round of Super Stock class. Lots of nice wheelstands and a few upsets.
Moreover, there is a pretty decent turnout of fans in the stands who are no doubt waiting for the Mopar Hemi Challenge which starts in a few minutes. There's 22 Hemi cars on the sheet and with no Westcott's in sight (and no Rick Houser), were going to crown a new champion this year. In fact, the only two drivers in the field who have won the Hemi Challenge are Jim Daniels and Bucky Hess. As much as I've enjoyed covering Charlie's win's, its refreshing to see the air of unpredictability return to the event. Oh and Kevin Stubbs, I saw your old Camaro racing in Sweden two weeks ago. Still looking mean and menacing. Very impressed by all the Super Stock/Stock cars in Europe especially the Finnish team that has your C/Stock car. |
