Lightened ring gear, riffle drilled and star flanged axles?

IMO If you need to get weight out of the car this is an excellent way to do it.
Also if you'd like to move weight around what better way than to turn unsprung weight into sprung weight.
The lighter the unsprung weight the softer the shock the better and more consistent the bite.

That's the way I look at it.
