Default Broke down in Amarillo,Tx

My brother is headed west with a 2004 Ford diesel with automatic transmission
that is leaking fluid out of the front seal, Does anyone know a transmission shop
in Amarillo that is fair and not a rip off? Thanks, Gregg

Not sure they do transmission work, but might want to try Nancy Matter's business North Texas Diesel is in Lewisville, just north of Dallas area. (972) 464-8274. Her stepdad was the late Ted Wells. Tell her I sent him.

He doesn't work on them, but former NHRA Modified Eliminator World Champ Carroll Caudle may be able to recommend a shop. He has been in business there for over 40 years. Carroll's Automotive & Machine: 1-806-372-9232.

Hopefully whoever fixes it will do more than just slap a new seal in it , and send him down the road. Seals are pretty robust, and if they fail, its usually something else that caused it to leak. Might want to use a national chain that would have a nation wide warrantee.

Have not talked to him in a while. Guess I need to call his home and make sure he is OK. He is old too.
