4.11's , 4.56's are readily available new. In fact, I believe that Richmond is making the 3 series gear sets as well.
There are also modern re-enforcement upgrades for these rear ends.

4.11 factory ring gears are pretty narrow (weak), but that's what the 3-speed overdrive transmission cars came with. Gears are still available new from the aftermarket, but this is an area where E-Bay is your friend. I have a bunch of the 55-64 dropout third member stuff; just gave away an open 3.70 unit and a set of new Schiefer 5.57 gears. Go to BruneauPerformance.Ca (a Canadian site), he has stuff also for these rears. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Thanks for everyone's PM's and responses!
I think my friend has this taken care of now. We found someone with several new gear sets on ebay. The car is just a driver, and I guess it had this setup when he started the build. Thanks Sean
