There are cranks on the accepted list be sure to call the manufacturer to be sure rod journals are not drilled.

I prefer the 70 350 LT-1 steel crank for my 305 stick application. Never any failures, crank has been in use over 20 years.

For those who haven't been following along with this build:
Guys, this is a 2bbl, automatic application. Mr Money, If you want specific answers here, then you need to ask specific questions .

This is a 145hp 305 2bbl not a ton of power I just am wondering if a stock 305 crank will hold up or if I should use a steel 350 crank. Seems like everyone is trying to get the lightest crank possible. Im wanting to build a very compeditive R/SA but are finding out racers neet me dont like to talk about there combinations. Will a stock 305 crank go 7500+rpm?

I'll be more than a little shocked if your 305 2 barrel combination is a 7500+ package. If it is you need to be asking lots of lifter and spring questions.

Removing weight from the center of rotation is not as important as reducing weight of components at the outside of rotation and that stop and start. Look at ways to reduce friction and windage losses.
