Whom in the header business makes a flanged 1. 7/8" dia fenderwell header .. A friend of mine bought some Hedman Hustler ones & for what ever reasons the 4 downward pipes are touching the firewall & cant get last header bolt to even get close to bolting up to plate .. stock engine mounts / stock location / steering center link goes without problem thu hole in Moroso big pan so seems to conferm engine where its suppost to be .. Hedman tech has no answers why fitment problems

.The fender wells or floor board on the car itself would not be the first one to have to modify a little bit with a hammer. My fender wells still have the marks from before I got it in early 80s. Tom

For what it is worth. In a Engine Masters issue about 3 or 4 months ago they did a dyno test for denting headers. I was amazed at how far they could close up the tube before a power loss. I would try to work around denting tubes but if needed it seems you can get away with it. Good luck.

I used "Doug's" (1 3/4") on my '66 Sedan, they fit like a glove with no interference.
