Make sure the gasket between the aluminum intake and the steel belly plate in metal. The paper gasket gets sucked in and inhales oil into the intake. I had the above manifold on my 97 2500 5.9 liter. Ran great after I fixed it. It had over a quart of oil in it when I drained it. Mopar sells the gasket in a kit along w a new intake manifold gasket and bolt kit. Was perfect after.
