Just one more quick question Ken
So does that mean that Rodger Cook which owns the stocker that former world camp Sal Biondo has driven over the past three season can enter when ever Sal does not race?

Of course not, the Cooks were never involved with any championships that Sal has won. They would have had to be listed as the owners when Sal won the championship.

He could enter using Sal's grade points if Sal was not entered in the same class. Let's say Sal has 4 grade points, Mr Cook could enter when it opened at 4.

Damn guys. Didn't mean to start all of this. Just thought it was a little sad that only 4 cars from Florida could get into the Gators.

So if owners points count, I can use my 8 and Kevins 92 1/2 points and get in another car in my sons name. He only got 4 points. Let's see; 8 + 4+ 92 1//2 is a lot. You know if Pro Stock had this much controversy it would be more popular and they could have the scoop back.

Mike, you are correct about the low car count for FL cars. They used to comprise about 35-40% of the field, not now though. Along with the departure of NHRA tracks in FL and South Georgia the count will really be low to get those precious grade points. Never understood the lowering of quotas for races like the Gators. Kind of like eliminating the desire for someone wanting to build a stocker.

How about this. Leave the quotas alone and only allow racers who cannot enter as a past champion/owner to reach the quota. All previous champs/owners enter anytime without effecting the quota.

U/SA not entered.

I don't know what the answer is but the amount of controversy this subject generates indicates that a lot of people would like to see the procedure modified or at least discussed.

If we could get NHRA to test the aforementioned 3 30 packs, we could go back to 128 in each class like it used to be, and they had PS Truck in addition to the other stuff plus 30 Pro Stocks (with scoops) and on and on. We could park by the kart track in the back (I have parked there). How come we can figure this out and nobody listens. Good point Mike.
