I also have Dish and only get FS1 not FS2 so I was happy to see that they are
replaying Sportsman from Pomona on Sat 2/27 a couple of different times. But I also am not a big fan of alcohol cars either.

I recorded both the Winternationals and the Sportsman show to view at a later date. I like doing this so I can fast forward when wanted. Thought Fox did a descent job, spread out various subjects well as filler time. The three field reporters did a good job. Liked the Irwindale section, giving viewers a mental invitation to participate in the sport. I believe with the feedback that they will receive it will go in a positive direction. The ground level rear view camera angle was great on Pro Stock, wished they would have shown the launches though.
The Sportsman show started off with a nice introduction by the hosts while delving into Stock and other classes before going into the Alky classes. The drivers and their sponsors liked it as each round winner received an interview. I haven't watched the Sportsman shows for the last year couple of years as they only covered alcohol. Last time I saw the finals of Stk, SS, SG, SC, Comp was when Winston and Federal Mogul had the series. This show though had the finals and a great segment with Dan Fletcher. I thought it was great that they interviewed the drivers after their individual finals. What happened to SS and Comp interviews though. Fox opened the door, I see them them refining and adding more of the sportsman. Can't wait for the in car camera in a slow car being chased. Ron Ortiz U/SA hope it's me, hope it's me.

. The general consensus from the Friday breakfast table racer guys at the local dive this morning was that Fox could have spread out the coverage of ALL the classes a lot more, not just focus on the alcohol guys round after round. (Yes, we know they're fast). Super Gas--which admittedly is not my style, got about 15 seconds of coverage without an explanation as to how and what they're doing in the one race they showed, Comp got practically no coverage, S and SS got more interview time with Fletch than anything else they showed. And how Erica Enders Stevens got such a lengthy segment in the latter part of the program is still puzzling to me. Isn't she a Pro driver? Isn't this a "Sportsman" program?? But we all agreed we're willing to give it some time. Still watching for now.
