![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() NHRA Pro Stock rules clearly state no outer wheel well modifications allowed. How was this car allowed to race with these obviously radiused ones? Pete

I will give Carmens grandson a call this week and get some more information about the car.
I believe that when he told me about the "Brooklyn Heavy"car he also said it was the one with the Hemi in it. When he said it I did not think to ask him which car it was. His mother was Carmens daughter. Jim Hill |

It is not Grumpys car. Heavys Vega is the first car built by SRD. I would like to know if it is the Vega. I started a SRD Facebook page. I have an early SRD Vega. Somewhere around 4th car built. I have had Pete Hutchinson verify the car

If I'm incorrect, provide info supporting your assertion. Pete

Whitman and Von Bargan did work for Grump. Pete Hutchinson worked on the crew briefly. The three were going to start a chassis parts business. But Grumps win at the Winternationals created a demand for Vegas. I have had some conversations with Pete that have put some light on the evolution of the early cars they built.
