I think that it all sounds good when you have the deck stacked. Factor everyone's combo right & it would be fun. The only thing I can think is a bad thing may be that the guys that can't afford to throw money at their cars for the latest greatest will stop racing. Everyone seems to be worried about car counts. What do you think that format would bring? Some say don't hide behind shoe polish, I say don't hide behind the rule book.

No one said you had to run the combination you run, you decided to run it, now you have to live with it. I wouldn't say its hiding behind the rule book. You hopefully pick the best combination you can run in your car.

Live with it ha. That's funny, I was just pointing out some of the facts that are posted on this thread, & adding my opinion about the heads up deal & what I think will happen. That's all, I love how people jump on other people on here. These threads allways turn to personal digs on people. I like heads up, when the better driver has a chance to win. There aren't many old cars out there that can hang with the injected cars, doesn't that seem like a problem?

Nope, doesn't seem like a problem to me. If the carb cars were better, we would be back to racing carb combos. If they combined stick with autos, we would put five speeds in our cars.

Tom, I didn't think I was jumping on you, I simply pointed out that you decided the car and combo you run. I didn't think it was being personal. If youre going to build a combination for your car, shouldn't you build the most favorable?? Or should you build the combination that's been hammered and beat on?? There are still carb combos out there that are still favorable.

I'm not offended, I built what I like. Yes there are other combos. I was not trying to make it about me at all just some of the real situations out there. By the way Sean what size throttle body is on your combo? I don't know anything about injected cars. Or any lt1 l98 deal

Its a 48mm throttle body, smaller than your average carb.

Thanks, 48mm flows 650-700 cfm. That answers all my questions.

How can you factor everyone's combo "right" when the factors are arbitrary to begin with? ...and then, whoever wins your race will be accused of having a 'soft' combo. Catch-22.

Stock is the most popular eliminator out there. The national event fields fill up first in Stock. Division races have upwards of 100 stockers per race. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
