another thought, when we bracket race at the Texas Motorplex, [a National event track] the stands are empty even though some spectators are in attendance. [true, the spectators are mostly crew and family with a few casual fans]
Point being, everyone is hanging in the lanes, staging and starting line areas. Why, close to the action.
