That won't hurt the 76. 164 would have been painful for the people building a 75

Dan, what Mr. Derby City means is that there were letters of request to lower the HP rating some time ago. When NHRA granted it there were several posts here on Class Racer that the newly factored Fords were going to be #1 qualifiers immediately.
With a stroke of the pen, NHRA can alter the playing field either in a positive or a negative point depending on which side of the factor you are on. This practice has been going on for quite sometime. NHRA knows that the AHFS will put things back on line, though most times it is in small increments. This is not to take away the performance that is extracted by the competitor from his combo. The three F's that precede the word FFFord may be a sign of difficulty pronouncing the word, or a manner of stuttering, but in fact stand for Factored Flying Fords. Their numbers are impressive though. I hope this clears things up for you. Ron Ortiz U/SA FordTough

I want the 55 thru 59 Fords back in the class guide. Then I want the 312 ci 245hp reduced to 170hp. One more thing bring back the class 21.00 to 22.00 the V/SA back in the day, oh I need a little money to build that killer 57Ford.
