Allen
Thanks Bud, I will be sure and look closely at the check, should be here tomorrow and I will let you know what happens. Being in business most of my adult life, I have learned many things, one of the most important to remember is "the customer may not always be right.......but they are always the customer", many business people seem to forget that. This whole deal really angers me. I've heard it announced over the PA at some events I've been at before, and not D4.
"If you have money coming, you must pick it up before you leave, we will not mail it to you". Who the hell are you to say that? I paid my entry fee, I went X number of rounds, I earned that money. Its mine, its not yours. What friggin right to you have to keep it? Oh, because you said so. I see, that makes it right. That makes it OK. Why don't you say "if you aren't in the tower to collect within 10 minutes after your loss, we're keeping it". Or "if you don't wear a blue shirt to the tower, we're keeping it". At the end of a long, and most often disappointing weekend, who really wants to ride or walk to the tower and wait in a line to collect a joke of a check for say a semi final finish? I know I just want to get the hell out. Its obviously easier on everyone to just put them in the mail. The person doing it has to spend the time regardless, all you're doing is adding an envelope and a stamp. And now that person has the luxury of doing in peace on Monday morning. Call me cynical, but why do tracks do it? because they can. If they get to stiff one or two people for $100 bucks they win. Screw you... |

As usual, Dan is Dead On. But to add to it. The Track didn't mind taking your money by mail when they sent out forms to pre-enter. They already knew where most of us live before we came, and already used a stamp trying to get us to send them money. No excuse for them not to send the check we earned by mail. They are just trying to take more from the racers. Seems to be a running theme now days.

They just want to make it hard to claim the money, it my case it was late I got 7 hours home and I was posses at myself anyway. I shouldn't have to jump through burning hoops to get my lousy $150 for a semi finish. I turned it over to my wife, most people would probably forget about it or give up, not my wife she will worry the hell out of them. Anybody need some collections help call me I'll put her on it!

Just a heads up.....got my check today and looked the check over for any snafu's, and the date was printed out as "0 Mar 2016". I guess there format for printing checks screws up and that is maybe why J. Allen could not deposit his check at the bank.
I will try and deposit mine in the morning and see what happens. 2x Hagen, float on our early entry fees and then make us jump through hoops trying to collect what they owe us.. RJ |
