There used to be a moderately-successful NHRA Stock Eliminartor car called called "Since You." The mind reels at the back-story on that one.... I have a 1964 Valiant, turbocharged slant six bracket car tthat I will call "Canned Heat" as soon as I get it painted...

My first race car was a Gas class VW Bug called "Time Waster" . My father had one before that called "Lil Streaker". I like race cars having names.

Yes, every car should have a name! Good or bad... I ran across a post where the car was tan, and it was called "Quick Sand". I thought that was pretty clever. Keep the names coming!

I remember some famous Pontiac Funny Cars called "Brutus", "Infinity", "War Eagle", and of course, the "Skoal Bandit".
One of my favorite Pontiac wagons was named "Tons-a-Fun". Arnie also had one named "Grocery Getter". He also had some cars named "Tameless Tiger". This name has already been mentioned. But, my 1st Pontiac hero was Truman Fields, when he won the '73 US Nats, with his "Hard Times" Firebird. Other Pontiacs I remember are: "Packin Poncho", "Kathy's Clown", "Black Gold", "Big Iron", "Super Sleeper", "Hatari"(still racin). Judy Lilly drove a car named "Miss Mighty Mopar".
