Another quite day, mostly pros getting setup along with NHRA. I did run into Jim Bailey, he showed me his remote control plane. It's very cool, and Jim says its a blast to fly. Jim builds them himself, he tells me the 1cc engine makes about 2 horsepower, and yes its a hemi, four overhead valves with pushrods.
They parked most of the sportsman that were not here for the division on other side of the track. |

Sorry I am just now getting back to the computer, but it has been a busy day! We were #2 in line and they parked us this morning on the wrong side of the track. But we were on pavement and ok with it. We got everything all set up and unloaded and went over to see friends that we had not seen since Pomona. When we got back to the trailer, the parking guys were there waiting to move us! I said, but I already have everything all set up and then they said--But we are moving you to the right side of the tracks! So anyway, we got everything all loaded back up and now we are at the very end of the track. We have a great spot. Seems the management had sold all the spots where we were to motorhomes for the weekend! So anyway, we are all set up again. And we just went out for a great meal at Giavonis in downtown Concord. Great Italian place! I have a picture that I will post tomorrow.
So come on down to see us! It is great getting caught up with old friends!! Patsy |

Not trying to reinvent the wheel. I'm only trying to find much needed HP to try to stay in the same area code with Jim, Randy, and the rest of the fast cars in A/SA. I think I need a 85 pound driver.

It is overcast and nice here at the track this morning. It is supposed to get up to 79 later today. It was sprinkling a bit early, but it is just humid now. Tomorrow could be a different story, though. 60% chance of rain. We will just have to wait and see. After tomorrow, it looks to be a very nice weekend! I will try to get some pics later.

![]() ![]() Driving thru the Great Smokey Mountains on the way here, we saw a lot of these trees with the purple blooms. Does anybody know what kind of tree this is? ![]() How about the artwork on this truck?? ![]() Great dinner last night with Bob and Kathy Bagley, Josh Eastburn, Larry and on left side Halsey Hatfield, Michael Volkman, Alice and Joe Tysinger and me on the end. This was at Giannis in downtown Concord. Great Italian food! |

I'm not 85lbs but I can get down to about 120 if you need a light driver Larry! Add some padding in the seat & some blocks on the peddle so I can reach. I would be lost in there lol

I found a monkey that weighs 18.4 lbs with long arms and one leg while wondering around the woods in Florida. Now being trained to hold the wheel with left leg, push throttle with right arm, and turn on shift switch with right leg. Other leg is missing. Us large girth folks need such a monkey. He is also certified to check the wheel for roundness. Will be ready for Indy.
