I know that this is not an apples to apples comparison but take a look at how fast Ronnie Charnes has been able to go with 3/4ths of a 267 and it has a smaller intake valve!
A million years ago, Buick did a bunch of testing on it's then just re-released V-6 and came to the conclusion that the engine size and number of cylinders didn't matter when it came to carburetor size. It was the volume of each cylinder that mattered the most. Maybe it's not such a bad comparison after all.

So cam it like a 305? My old 305 cam was 268/271 ( 83' 305 flat top 416 head Q-Jet ) I'm sure the latest stuff is longer but not sure how much.

My friend and I have been running a 82 monte carlo with the 267 off and on for the last few years. While I can't say it was cheap compared to what it cost for a lot of stockers it wasn't bad in the age of 100.000 ones. So far we've run a best of 14.20 @91mph.It's been a lot of fun running it and it's about as low maintence as you could want for a racecar...Love that DUALJET!

All very interesting. I have one here that was just pulled for a 350 swap. Going to use it to setup the old dyno I acquired and kinda thought it may be fun to mess with.

To the best of my memory J.T. Allen was a killer with one of these in a Malibu. J.T. always ran obscure combos in IHRA back in the day and made the fast cars live hard every pass. He usually had a .00 and was on the brakes lol.
