Thumbs up Re: Southeast Gassers

These guys put on an awesome old school show! Quain Stott got this program started and it has really grown. Several of the racers including Quain are local to me and I knew them since high school. Quain and his brother Mitch both were Pro Mod world champions and now drive Gassers. I have got to see them several times at a local track and the bleachers are always packed and every race gets bigger. These cars are built to replicate the gassers of the late 1960's, cable tach's, magnesium wheels, straight axles, and long traction bars, high RPM small blocks and a clutch. If you ever get the chance to see them don't miss it, a walk through the pits is like a history lesson about drag racing. Don Jackson

That's what caught my attention and drew me in. The old school look and sound. No constipated eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh-eh sound c/o of a 2-step rev limiter that absolutely ruins the cool sound (as far as I'm concerned) of a 4-speed race car staged with RPM's up in the stratosphere and ready to blast off.

Thanks for the Support Mopar, it's amazing how many supporters we have.
I have about 1,000 emails from 5 or 6 years ago from the people that said this would never work and laughed at me daily. They are not laughing now.
Again thanks for supporting us and sticking up for us when need be.

Quain I can't understand why anyone would not enjoy seeing the gassers.
I search the net looking for videos. Really enjoy it

Hello Quain! It's my pleasure. I learned about S.E.G. from watching "Big Daddy" Dale Wilson's YouTube videos.

I grew up in the 1970s and Modified Eliminator was my favorite category. Then came bracket racing on the local level.

Fast forward to the 21st century: High rpm (no electronics) 4-speed cars with cool old school paint and lettering banging gears are back!

I wish I lived a lot closer. I'd love to see the show in person. YouTube videos can only capture so much of the thrill and excitement.

The best of luck in the 2018 season!

Pete
