Stupid NHRA, I know the top 12 qualify initially, but they "throw out" early runs?

The qualifying format they have now was new news in 2008. I still don`t like it.

Possible bad news Charlie was charged with an oildown on his last qualifier.

Right Lane: Curt Steinbach Runs 6.762/204.94, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.212/188.86, Was #17

Westcott Jr. improves on his run from earlier today...Steinbach launched hard and keep it hooked up and made his quickest pass of the weekend to move up to the number four spot. Curt Steinbach's incremental times: 60ft-1.019 sec., 330ft-2.840, 660ft-4.354/162.51 mph, 1,000ft-5.661. Charlie Westcott Jr. was charged with an oildown, #1 for the season. That will cost 5.
