I realized that we hijacked this thread and I apologize for my part. It was my fault. Jim

I will call Capitol to see what fuel is stored! Pure Stock, IHRA lets us race with pump gas. Regular Stock requires the approved Fuels. IMHO should be optional like Pure Stock. The rules are what they are! Btw did you have the FWD Caddys in the 80s. You set the record in two of them and when it came to tech tear down. Nobody knew how to take the engine apart ;-) ? Think you needed a Caddy specialist from Detroit to help put them back together. That was how new they were. 1983 won a point meets at Moroso. Beat Jim Jeffreies in the final. Paul Forte won SS. Won $1300 that night and passed tear down! Stan Welch lived nearby and let me park the Impala at his home. With that win and other rounds was running 3rd in points. Then my wife touched me on the shoulder. Our first baby was otw and soon after my company moved me to Orlando. Jim Jeffries later borrowed my 1969 Impala and won Sulfolk and semifinals in Louisiana. Still have the car going through restoration. Hope to see you all in Florida next year. Planning to load the tow car, trailer and Impala on the AutoTrain again. See if I can race all Division 2 series since they are all bunched together. Dan |
