Stock/Super Stock combo Coastal Plains Dragway, Aug 13 (?)

I would love nothing more than to attend a race in honor of Allen because I thought so much of him but Elk Creek Dragway in Virginia already has a stock/super stock race scheduled that day. Yes it would be closer for us to go to Jacksonville but our close friend, Brandon White, (Division 9 Super Stock racer) is helping put this race on. He has supported my races before & we've obligated ourselves to support his. I realize not everyone would make the drive to Virginia but there isn't enough racers to go to events if scheduled on the same day. Doyle, please have Ronnie reconsider this date & all the other racers, please consider attending the race at Elk Creek. If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me at 910-591-6188.

Apparently there is some sort of importance to that date but I'm looking at both events having the best success that they can have. Hope it works out! Please keep me updated.

I'm all in coming to Coastal Plains but Elk Creek has had the flyers and the promotion out for some time........may want to rethink that ...... Elk Creek may be just enough west not to hurt the east side of I-40 but there is not much time to get the word out ???

I knew Allen for years and would love to come. That isnt a good date though. Sometime in November would be much better and probably draw more cars.

Allan's widow wants that date. ( she has her reasons ) Ronnie Humphrey is talking to her to see if she is ok with another date........will try to reschedule ....or they may just have the normal bracket race..I'm not sure........I hope to let everyone know in next day or so....,thanks for the input, I appreciate it.

Barring anything unforseen I will be there. I really wouldn't think the event at Elk Creek would affect this that much being they're about 7 hours apart.
