Just thinking out loud here, but if you allow racers to stay overnight inside the track, wouldn't you need someone to man the gate all night ?
I'm not sure Dallas would leave the gates open unmanned. Just a thought

Might be a liability issue.

I suspect most tracks have a umbrella policy covering their place 24/7

They can show up early cause they can and chose to. So I would welcome them with open hands and Open Pits as early as possible on a first come first serve with only one pit space being able to be saved for one friend only . I would have all kind of services availability for them and their wives and friends . such as a tour or RV services or another service to make MY Customers feeling needed and happy to spend their money with my track . Now since a track has to pay for overhead I would even charge an early fee to cover the early overhead costs that was create . The fee would be moderate and fair for all cause the racers are the entertainment in most causes and in most cases would not mind paying for this . The early pitting would alleviate the huge rush for the late arrivals so there would be no need to hire extra staff all Pitting would be much orderly and calmer ![]()

Take a look at the Beech Bend schedule,I don't know if there is another track in the country that host as many different races as they do,they know how to run a event and get it done.
