Somebody splain to me how a supposed stock blocked Pontiac with "Eldabrock" heads can go 6.30 something at over 220 with a Turbo or who knows what else and live for more than 1 run......?
I am a Skeptic...... Pontiacs ain't known for their longevity or ability to stay in one piece for very long and make more than Street car or Stocker type Horsepressure... Da Chief said he had a Stock Block Pontiac and he might want to say Mr. Edelbrocks name right...... It's like when someone says GARTLITS....

I don't think it's actually a "stock block". I think it's probably a Jim Butler Performance block.

That is what makes the 6.36's impressive, he is doing that with a real underdog engine for the class. Probably has valve 1/4" smaller than anyone else, ports half the size and may even be the only non-billet block and heads there.
. Spreading the gospel of legal drag racing isn't a bad thing, |

I taped the race and look forward to watching qualifying. I watched elims earlier on fast forward. Great to see the hemi challenge final and the factory super car final.
Great to see big chief doing it old school and against the odds with real Pontiac power. We were racing the yellowbullet nationals and had a great time too. It's great to see the drag race gospel being spread to new fans. Win win situation for sure Chris |
