MSD 8733 2 step

I hooked this up about a year ago and I installed a jegs brake light switch. I'm not sure if the switch was faulty or if I had it hooked up wrong but with very little brake pressure the 2 step would activate. Well I removed it because I didn't want the 2 step to activate if I had to get on the brakes hard while driving.

So my thought is to mount a momentary switch that will activate when I put the shifter in low gear (I can post pics). When I let off the brake it should turn off. So unless I am in low gear and on the brake the 2 step will not work.

Does this sound correct?
