It now is a bracket race for maybe 90% of the time, if you want "class racing" run off the national records like before.

Tru Start seems logical, based on worst, not first, breakout. It seems like it would be an equitable change that probably should have happened long ago.

So anybody that has a fast car, or wins a heads up is considered buying a race? That's a moronic statement. Let me guess your a bracket racer? Do you run an NHRA class car? If not your opinion is irrelevant. Have a nice day

Gotta agree with you there Todd. Plus, the faster car doesn't always win........ Plenty of people can't hit the tree to save their lives......

How did that work? Was every race basically a heads-up race with no breakout? Was your dial based-off the National Record for your class at that time? Curious as to how it worked back then.

It was handicap racing, with the handicaps coming from the National record in your class I think the index system came out in 1977 & if your car was faster than your given index you were allowed to dial quicker, but not sure if you can dial different each round. Don't think you were.
