Metalwork done, the California Flash B/MP '75 Duster is now in epoxy primer and finesse bodywork will ensue.

They haven't came up with any rules yet. They have some wanting to just bring whatever and runnit heads up. It won't work, and eventually they will come to their senses. Will keep you informed.

One reason the California Flash B/MP 1975 Duster is so special to us is that this was our car in 1975.
It was a roller cammed 383 4-speed with a 5.57 Dana 60 and a leaf-link suspension. That Leal car was on the cover of the Direct Connection catalog the entire time of our build. Sure wish I had better pictures. ![]() ![]()

Perseverance Pays Off
Finally found all of the wheels and tires we needed. N.O.S. front Cragar Super Tricks and some very nice rears. Also located and purchased brand new never mounted 14 x 32 Firestone Drag 500 slicks with the liners and the stickers still on them. Have new Moroso DS-2's for the front. During the search and not to take a chance on missing anything, also purchased some 98% front Tricks (pictured with tire mounted) and some 90% 15 x 14 rears. These, along with the original wheels from the car (that had been polished) will be available if anyone has the need (send a PM). ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well, more problems getting this thing rolling. The "brand new never mounted 14 x 32 Firestone Drag 500 slicks with the liners and the stickers still on them" showed up. Yes, they are brand new and beautiful but are not "Drag 500's" which is not a deal breaker but they are W's which we had specifically been told they were not. Two inches too wide for what we have to have. If anybody has a use for them, let me know.
In the meantime I am still looking for regular 14 x 32 (non W) Firestone Drag 500 slicks. I could also use the newer non Drag 500 blackwall versions. The newer the better. Any help finding a pair will be much appreciated!
