Yeah kind of ironic for us Mopar diehards. I am pretty sure some of them come with TH400s also. I think the transmission deal has a lot to do with the lack of availability of SFI approved cases for Torqueflites. I think Chrysler refers to the Powerglides and TH400 as "Racing Transmissions" Not near as good as Jeff's 8 4/4 rear ends.

Of course I think there is a fast black Pontiac a just a little west of me with a GM trans with 904 Torqueflite guts. :-)

Quite a turnaround since back in the day when the bow tie guys used Chryslers four speeds and car Danas. Because the 12 bolts and snaggel tooth trans wouldn't stay together.

I thought the LaSalle transmission was the hot ticket?
