Default Re: License Question

What Chuck said is a solid approach, running an "unsanctioned" 9 second run is likely to get you on the wrong side of the track operator and you're going to need their cooperation in witnessing your licensing runs and signing off. If you're use to running 12's take it easy getting started, in fact I'd heartedly recommend going to take one of Frank Hawley's License classes. He's a gifted teacher who offers a ton of good advice and his entire staff is top notch. Two days of class and driving and you've got all the paperwork you need for NHRA and didn't make any mistakes that might hurt your new car. Simply not being familiar with the shifter, doing burnouts, using a brake and going 140 MPH can turn a simple error into a major problem.
