Chuck, Angelo thinks it's a great class. If you are thinking of a 318 you can run L,M, and N.

As an entry level class, I'd say no. Not when you can run N, with no roll bar, no two year belts, no fire jacket, no spec pants.

One advantage to running the lighter class is less weight to haul around from track to track.
Some indexes will favor a .05 second advantage over an index right next to it as well. However, there is no advantage between L, M, and N. They are all .15 sec. apart. There is between J and K
