To me 1/8 mile means less wear and tear on your car and yes being crisp on the tree is much more important. I'm lucky enough to be close enough to use this track as my test facility and even on test n tune nights the track is run top notch! With tracks closing all over, tracks being run down, lack of facilities available for racers and fans....you have a track that has invested millions, with MANY improvements to come, and heck even an air conditioned restaurant that you can sit and watch the runs......sounds to me like a place I'd gladly give my money too , to keep investing in our sport and have a top notch place to run at........people flock to ZMAX, and "he" could care less about the racer!!

Use to do Workers Compansation Insurance evaluation for several positions for Florida Power and Light.
This was and interesting statistic!
WC Insurance is 4 times higher for a worker climbing a 100 ft tower than a 300 ft tower!

Galot tried to extend its track and did so with what they had.
It ran out of space to effectively run fast cars at 1/4 mile events.
Insurance requirements are out of sight.
If this were 1980 different story.

IMHO Galot should have stayed IHRA...this is one beautiful and safe track.
An example other facilites should look at.

Feel that NHRA marketing came up short.
This includes not having a GT, Crate Motor and Pure Stock Classes.
It definitely would have substantively improved the car count!
