Not the '65 tri-power 389. It's still at 360 hp. Because they allowed the '62 318 hp tri-power down to 280 (H/SA) I've been requesting the '65 tri power to get within 10 hp of that. There's not enough difference in the two to shake a stick at. .007 more lift. Same carbs. 1.88 v/s 2.02 intake valve. That's it. Two years I've been trying. They won't budge on it. Don't feel real happy about building the car and giving them data for a year or two to prove it. But I gotta dream. The only '65 GTO tri power 4 speed in Stock.

'66 389/335/300 is not bad. Uses the same head that was developed for the 421/376. 12.0:1 compression. 625 cfm AFB. Not a killer, but at least competitive.
