To avoid a potential bonfire of the cash flow, get nitro joes stats so you can see what #s are being run in the various classes you are considering. Get on classracerinfo.com too. Best figure out how fast you want to/need to run to be competitve and then add or subtract weight to fit. Be honest with yourself on whether you would like to try and be the fastest in the class($,$,$), or win races, or just want to compete and have fun. You can always start out in a less populated class and learn and perfect the car over time and throw the $ as it proves worthy.

Now if you are inclined to build the first 9 second ss/ja 74 360 Duster, install a smokestack for the cash!
